I began my retail career almost 35 years ago, right after leaving the army. It all started with a simple question at a jewelry store in the mall – "Are you hiring?"
Thankfully, they said yes!
I fell in love with retail immediately and consider myself extremely fortunate to have had an amazing career.
Over the next two decades, I grew with the organization, holding nearly all of the field operations positions, eventually becoming the Division Vice President of Kay Jewelers, responsible for ~750 stores.
Later in my career, I was asked to oversee all of Signet's strategy, logistics, and operations. This role involved managing Field payroll, Corporate Communications, Training and Development, Repairs, New Store launches, Policies and Procedures, and In-Store Technology for the ~ 3,500 stores across the United States and Canada.
Over the past seven years, I have worked with or consulted for well-known brands such as Shinola, Banana Republic, Mikimoto, Helzberg, Hannoush, and Max Mara, as well as numerous startups and retail technology providers.
This breadth of experience has deepened my understanding of the retail landscape, allowing me to collaborate with businesses to navigate complex challenges and implement strategies that drive meaningful, lasting change.
